Porcel S.A. aims to be a "reference in porcelain solutions conception", based on a growth strategy founded on Innovation and Flexibility.

Quality, Environment and Safety are integrated into the company strategy, with the commitment to adopt a management model that, in a balanced manner, considers the economic, social and environmental preservation aspects.

The set policy aims at maintaining the Environment and Quality Management System, according to NP EN ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. Also undertakes to apply the following principles:
- To promote pollution prevention through the management of environmental impacts and waste minimization, rationalization of water and all raw materials;
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and other requirements about Quality and Environment;

- Maintain and ensure continuous improvement, for setting such goals and objectives with periodic evaluation of results, with a view to improving the effectiveness of the management system;

The Administration of the Porcel has showed since early a big worry in developing his activity, in an economic, social, cultural and environmental level. Settling this worry in the recent concept of sustainable development.

All Porcel management settles in 4 basic principals of the sustainable undertaking:

Economically viable - all production activity is managed in the concept do well on the first time. The strategies of prevention associated to rigorous operational control allow the increase of productivity levels.
The "defect" is detected early through the visual inspection of the pieces and through the 100% selection of the same pieces and still through the definition of sector indicators that allow to accompany the production and orient the management in the preventive actions it implement.
The management of work environment and the good maintenance of the infrastructures associated to a preventive maintenance allow to be always in the condition of prompt to act.

Ecologically correct - The program of environmental management defined allows us to act significantly in environmental aspects, with the aim of reduction of associated impacts.
The management of residues, including the risky, based itself essentially in the rule of the 3´R - focusing production strategy in the reduction, to the limit, of the residues and subsequently in the detachment and recycling of the residues.
The handling of chemical products is performed based on the indications of security files and they are stored in reducing shatters reducing the probabilities of spilling.
The sustainability passes also by the good management of the water resources, the collection of water is not exhaustive, and is still compensated by the utilization of the clear water treated in the ETAR for industrial activities less rigorous (washings and wc) and still for gardening.
The capacity of answering an emergency is tested from time to time, with the achievement of imitations where is put in practice the predicted answer in the Plan of Emergency, this contemplating the diverse existing means in the company, since the extinguishers, detectors of fire, the kit of emergency, the teams of support and fundamentally the procedures of existing emergency for each kind of risk, including catastrophes of external origin and personal accidents.
The law fulfilment is essential for a correct management of the environment, of the product, of the market, for such we subscribe a data base of external facts about legislation that is permanently up dated and this way it allows us in due time to know the law requirements and others applicable to the correct management of the company.

Socially fair - It does part of the environmental management program the adhesion to the external campaign titled "Piles of books", that associates the management of the piles to the schools and to a chain of supermarkets that "transforms" piles in school material to be donated.
The management provides the professional development and the motivation of the collaborators, through the formation in their workplace and continuous formation in room, permitting them to adapt the competences to the functions they perform. The health of workers is so much more important than disposes consultations of curative medicine for all workers. The management of the human resources is made on the basis of respect for the collaborator and by the equality of opportunities.

Culturally accepted - Porcel is still known, as being a "good neighbour" either through the gardens and trees surrounding the premises, but mainly by the participation monetary or through donations in events of the Region where is inserted (parties, fairs, sports actions, other social solidarity institutions actions, etc.). This aspect is highlighted by the absence of claims of the external part interested.

These principals permit to the Top Management to drive the course of the company in a sustainable way with the aim to provide the company competitiveness and in order to generate value.
